I’m a PhD Psychologist with strong expertise in the study of virtual reality and advanced technologies (augmented reality, video games, affective computing) applied to the well-being. My main research areas are characterized by a strong interdisciplinarity and are particularly related to the application of these technologies to the care and treatment of conditions such as psychological stress, anxiety disorders, neurological disorders (e.g., ictus, parkinson disease) and obesity. In these areas I’ve carried out research activities on emotional and cognitive factors related to the use of these technologies and to the design of virtual reality and videogames contents  for the well-being.

I collaborated as a researcher with the Applied Technology for Neuro-Psychology Lab (ATNP – LAB) from 2009 to 2014. My main areas of research have been related to the application of New Technology (especially Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Wearable Sensors) in the care and management of psychological stress, anxiety disorders, and neurological diseases, such as stroke, frontal lobe injury, and Parkinson’s disease. Analysis of the user experience in a context outside the laboratory (FuoriSalone del Mobile of Milan, 2017). Adaptation of the scientific research procedure and of the instruments, focusing on not interfering with the people’s experience.
